What’s the most times you’ve seen your favorite band/artist in concert?

The Beatles. Zero.
mmm

I’ve seen Styx the most (8x) but they are not necessarily my favorite, although they were/are a great band.

Rolling Stones 3x
Page & Plant 2x (1998, lost my voice after both shows)
Bob Seger 1x Cleveland, 2006 (that was an excellent show)

The first concert I ever saw was John Prince at the Wax Museum in DC when I was about sixteen, I’ve since seen him most years he has come to DC except when I was overseas. I’ve easily seen him 15, maybe 20 times in concert.

John Denver–4 times; twice with a backing band, once with an orchestra, once all by his lonesome.

Steely Dan - at least 6 times as well as Donald Fagen once on his solo tour.

The Beatles - once
Joni Mitchell - 4 times
The Incredible String Band - 3 times
Stevie Wonder - once
Jethro Tull - once
The Doors - once
Traffic - once
Firesign Theater - once

Once each:

Johnny Mathis - in Raleigh 3 years ago
Peter Yarrow - In Wilmington NC 2 years ago
Joan Baez - on Boston Common c. 1967

I’ve seen KISS 5 times: 1976, 1993, twice in 2009, and 2013.

They’re not my favourite now, but they sure as hell were in 1976!

I’ve seen Jenny Lewis six times (including twice with Rilo Kiley)

I’ve seen Susan Werner six times as well. Funny thing there is that her songs aren’t on any real rotation with me but her live shows are always a lot of fun and she’s a very engaging entertainer so I always at least seriously consider seeing her any time she’s in town.

Yeah, I knew there was someone around here that had seen them eleventy-billion times and that my post would look pathetic. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, I forgot: Peter (Yarrow), Paul, and Mary in Baltimore, October 1964 while I was attending US Navy “A” School at NTC Bainbridge.

Springsteen - Better than a dozen times. (Not that hard when you consider that I saw him 6 times on the “Born In The USA” tour alone.) (And all in LA!)(Which is nothing compared to my sister-in-law, who is well into triple digits.)

Jimmy Buffett - I have completely lost track. Seeing as how I’ve been going to his concerts since the 70s, it adds up to “a buttload.”

I’ve seen The Who 18 times and also a couple of Pete solo shows and Roger’s Daltrey Sings Townshend and Tommy shows. Sadly I never got to see John play a solo show.

I’ve seen Bruce Springsteen at least a dozen times, and perhaps as many as 15, beginning in 1977 with my last concert occurring September of 2016. They were all great, but the 6th row center seats we got for his solo acoustical tour in a small venue was really amazing.

This isn’t a lot but I’ve seen Jeff Beck three times, which seems noteworthy. Once with the Jeff Beck Group (w/Rod Stewart), opening for Big Brother and the Holding Company.

Then once in Beck, Bogert and Appice. The less said about that, the better.

And finally, a few years ago in Boston, on the “live at Ronnie Scott’s” tour. That was the best show by far.

(and just for the hell of it, I’ll throw in that I saw the Velvet Undergound [once]).

I’ve seen Bob Dylan seven times.

Bob Dylan, five times.

Best was in Gijon, Spain, in 1993, when he had just started with that tight little band and the crowd was lacksidaisical enough that I walked right up to the edge of the stage and watched him do “Mr. Tambourine Man” solo on acoustic guitar about five feet above me.

The Grateful Dead/Jerry Garcia Band…approximately 100 times between 1978-1995. I can’t give an exact number, because I was stoned.

Alice Cooper - 12, 13 if you count a record signing. Joan Jett, 3.

I’ve only seen Joan Jett once. She opened for Cheap Trick in the 90s, but she she put on a hell of a show.

This. Same with Zep. (Beatles broke up the month I was born, Zep broke up the month I discovered them).

Stones, REM, Stevie Wonder, Zappa: once each
Tull: twice

Colibrí, I hate you, man.
