What's the one place you've been to that no other Doper has visited?

Bukoba, Tanzania?

No on all of them for me so far.

West Walworth, NY?

We have someone who was born and raised in Cuba…Lalenin.

We passed through Tracy City on our way back from North Georgia by way of Chattanooga a few years ago. We decided to stay off the Interstate and went through Monteagle and Sewanee and other such towns. Pretty country!

Has anyone been to Inuvik, NWT, Canada? I was going to say the Teahouse at the Plain of Six Glaciers near Lake Louise, Alberta, but LL is a pretty popular tourist destination and a lot of those people are hikers.

These are a little off the beaten path, but not impossible that someone else has been there.

The top of the Ulm Cathedral?

Sunshine’s Beach Bar & Grill on Nevis. Ooh, look, Kevin Bacon.

Oh, that’s really easy - “Flying Deer Ranch” - Google Maps

San José de los Guajes, México.

Population: 850
Anyone???

There’s a little island in Georgian Bay, near the mouth of the Tinnerman River, which wasn’t labelled on any of the (many, extensive) maps my scout troop had. We spent a night there, and of course promptly named it Troop 515 Island.

Of course, unless there are any of my old troopmates on the board, none of you would know which specific island I’m talking about, so you can’t really tell if you were ever there.

The tiny hamlet of Torna Hällestad, Sweden. No way anyone but me has made it there.

I’ve been to lots of places in Alaska, but we’ve got a few other Alaskan dopers, although I don’t think any of them are from the interior. Anyone been on top of Donnelly Dome, or the Granite Tors, or Ft. Yukon, or Arctic Village, or Manly Hot Springs? I assume any place along the highways is gonna have massive duplication.

I like the way you think. It reminds me of when we were hiking the Appalachian Trail in the Smokies and spotted a very attractive hilltop in the distance and decided we would take a break when we got there. It was a mile or so ahead and we would be going downhill and back uphill to get there, and even though we had a detailed topo map of the trail, that particular knob wasn’t named. So we decided it was “Pretty Pines” even though the conifers were more likely hemlocks or spruce or something not-pine.

But long after that hike was over and we were discussing it later, the name Pretty Pines came up often. It made me wonder how many place names attributed to the Native American came about much the same way. And of course places like Ugly Pony Sat Here came to mind…

Parque Nacional Sierra San Pedro Mártir, Baja California, Mexico?

Yep, I went snorkelling there in 2002.

I’ve just got back from a week in Croatia. While I was there I went over to Montenegro. Anyone been to Perast?

OK then. I’ll bet you’ve never been to my bathroom. :stuck_out_tongue:

Been all over it.

How about the summit of Rattlesnake Hill in Elmira, NY? And not St Joseph’s Hospital immediately thereafter?

My folks’ farm in beautiful downtown Pisgah, Arkansas. Halfway between Dardanelle and Mount George.

I’ve stood on the top of the Inaccessible Pinnnacle. It is without doubt a Pinnacle, but it isn’t very Inaccessible , it’s just that most people don’t go there prepared for the tricky climb.

Small should be easy.

I’ve been to places in Northern Maine that just have numbers for names. Perhaps someone has been to, through, Greenville.

Biggest place I’ve been to that no doper has. . .perhaps Beaune, France. Or maybe Randolph, Maine, or somewhere up there.

I reckon many Dopers will have been to Beaune - it’s on a Burgundy wine tour.

What about 108 Mile Ranch in British Columbia, Canada (http://www.108ranch.com/ ) It’s a small, rural residential area in the Cariboo region of BC. My grandparents used to live there in an awesome log house. I only recall a general store and a school there, although it is 8 miles from the (slightly) larger community of (you guessed it!) 100 Mile.
