What's the proper way to read titles with deliberate strikeouts?

As in the Discworld novel** [del]Faust[/del]Eric**, or Magic Kingdom [del]for Sale[/del]SOLD! by Terry Brooks. Do you read the whole title aloud? Would you look for the Discworld novel under “F” or “E”?

I would file it under E for Eric, but I prounounce it “Faust (schwipp) Eric” with an appropriate horizontal hand-slashing motion at the “schwipp.”

I’d start to say the crossed-out bit and then quickly say the next part, as if covering up a verbal slip.

I’d say “for sale - whoops! - make that sold.”
