This is a question more for the moderators/administrators:
What is the shortest amount of time between when someone first became a member of SDMB, and then get banned. We could break this down by actual time (minutes, hours, days, weeks,etc) or by amount of posts.
I’ve seen obvious sockpuppets of previously banned posters get banned after 1 or 2 posts.
I’ve heard some of the mods say they’ve banned someone right after he or she created the new SN because they were looking for that person. Oh, and because when you add an extra “e” in your SN, it’s pretty much like putting on the fake nose and glasses as far as disguises go.
This topic has come up before, and the consensus seems to be that there is no declared winner, and really, it’s better not to give trolls the attention of contests like this. I will point out that the best I’ve seen was an obvious case of a banned troll returning, and was banned in a mere eight minutes from first post. And that was before IP logging and vetting of screen names before use.
There have been plenty that were banned before a single post.
