What's the words/picture on your coffee cup?

I got one this Cristmas from Montfort
with Donald Duck on,
and off course it’s my favorite now.

It’s from my favorite comic strip, Soap on a Rope.

It says, “Decaf is bad for children and other living things.”

My current coffee cup is the yellow M&M’s guy. It is deffinately the coolest cup I’ve ever had. The cup is shaped like his head and he has a little smirk on his face.

I got a new one for Christmas. It’s huge and has a picture of Grumpy on it. The text inside of the cup reads: I don’t have to be Grumpy, but then I wouldn’t be me.

I love it!

My newest and most treasured/sought after/much coveted mug, is a standard sized navy blue affair with the This Old House logo emblazoned in a pearly white. My other favorites are a Claritin mug that my wife got from work, and a travel mug with a really good lid that says Celestial Seasonings Boulder, Colorado.

Maxwell’s Equation, from MIT bookstore.

i use a Nightmare Before Christmas mug. that silhouettes Jack against the moon.

I try not to let on that I have a favorite mug: the favorites, empowered by their new-found status, try to flee their shabby trappings for what? A rude sweeping and the trashcan of shame?

If you ever glue your coffee cups back together make sure it is for display only.

My current work cup says “Mitsubishi DIAMONDTRON CRT technology: MegaView, the big easy GIA” picked up at a trade show.

Just thought of one that needs to be made:

If the hand holding this mug ain’t shaking, it needs more caffine.

My only coffee cup carries a cartoon featuring the New Orleans Saints running roughshod over the 49ers. The best part is a banner in the stands which reads “Geaux Saints.”

My new one is a cartoon of an aardvark (sp?) with a briefcase, and it says underneath ::snicker:: “Don’t vark too aard.” I love it!

I have a bunch of them at home, maybe a dozen. I have two favorites:

One has Tintin and Miliou on it. Tintin is wearing a pith helmet and looking very determined, with a determined-looking Miliou following him.

Another is a Far Side mug with one of my favorite cartoons on it: “The Bluebird of Happiness long absent from his life, Ned is visited by the Chicken of Depression.”
The one I use at work is one of three identical mugs given to me by a friend of mine who was cleaning house while moving. It’s sky blue with an engraved metal plaque on it that reads Connecticut Public Radio: Celebrating 15 years, 1978-1993. I don’t drink coffee from it at work, though; I drink green tea (in case you needed to know.)

I have a mug advertising the campus graduate student center. When the grads from my department won a pumpkin-carving contest, we each got one. My backup mug is a lovely cobalt blue with a gold-leaf sun/moon/stars design. I have it at work because if I leave it at home, I tend to forget about the gold leaf and put it in the microwave, and sparks fly.

My work mug is a National Security Agency mug. I get a kick out of it because ten-or-so years ago we weren’t even supposed to know that this large govermnent agency even existed (and I think a lot of us didn’t); now, not only are they the official new g-man badguys in movies like Enemy of the State, but they have lots of souveneir merchandise, including sweatshirts and teddy bears (I got one for my girlfriend–it has a little NSA sweater on ;)).

And no, I don’t work there.

I have 2 - one is trivial pursuit, one side has the questions and one side has the answers. unfortunately its no longer fun because i’ve memorized them by now.

the other is from my dad’s firm picnic in 1991, i only like it because it’s clear
