We found a little yellow ball, of the very bouncy “superball” rubber, no more than an inch in diameter. It has what appears to be a very simple stylized bird face painted on it. The bird face is two black dots that are slightly fuzzy looking, with an orange triangle below them. The triangle points downward. The effect is two black eyes over an orange beak.
I wondered if this had anything to do with “angry birds”, which is some sort of meme that is all over the place. I don’t know if it’s a movie or a game or a cartoon or what. Anyway, there are zillions of “angry bird balls” out there online but they all have more complicated faces, typically with heavy scowling eyebrows. I don’t think our ball is related to this theme.
Otherwise I haven’t a clue.
Can anybody tell me where this is from? We found it in a park where I imagine some child misplaced it. I’d like to have a few more of these delightful small rubber balls.
Angry Birds is a surprisingly addictive video game where you use a slingshot to catapult spherical birds into castle-like structures to topple them over with physics chain-reactions. There are various colours of birds, each with their specific “power”. The default, red one carries a lot of momentum and bounces more than the others.
But Angry Birds doesn’t have a character with that color pattern.
There’s the character Chirp from Peep cartoons, but he doesn’t exactly fit it either.
And Flappy Bird’s not like that either.
Honestly it might just be some random toy from a gum ball machine.
Or could even be left in the grass from Easter.
If it’s as simple as you describe, try drawing it with some paint program, then use Google image search. Maybe you’ll find it online if it’s more than a random toy.
