What's this South Park Movie with puppets all about?

Saw part of an ad on TV for this upcoming movie the other day. What’s the scoop?

Interesting forum choice, astro.

Here’s a Newsweek article on the film.

Arrgghh!! Mod please change me! I’m all dirty! Waaahhh!!!

Here’s a clip from the movie. Quite a bit funnier then the trailers.

I never realized the Kim Jong Ill was related to the City Wok guy.

For the benefit of American Dopers, who may be unfamilar with the work of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson-- (Apart from Space: 1999, mebbe…)

The look of the film is an homage to Supermarionation®, which was used to great effect in the Andersons’ Thunderbirds, Stingray, and Captain Scarlett in the 1960s.

Supermarionation® kicks ass, as any Commonwealth-dweller who’s ever channel surfed under the influence of far too much LSD knows.

I can’t wait to see what Matt and Trey have done with it.

Gotta go. The Fish People (Dah duh daaah!) are on to me.

Oh, the itch.

That they took an actual episode of Thunderbirds, re-edited it and re-dubbed it as their ‘shop this to the studio’ reel, strikes me as being the coolest thing about this movie. Especially considering the people who made the “real” Thunderbird movie that came out this summer flubbed the thing entirely.

It’s about what all Parker-Stone projects are about- getting laughs, pissing people off & making money.

In some cases, they only accomplish step two, but when they can accomplish one & two, three usually follows (except for ORGAZMO).

This may seem funnier to me than to anyone else; I’m on the NyQuil.
