What's Trump's end game for the last 14 days of his presidency?

True, but the difference in fuel between with him and without him must be enormous…!

  • Two weeks ago, the Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Georgia transited the Strait of Hormuz, on the surface, accompanied by two guided missile cruisers, USS Port Royal and USS Philippine Sea.
  • Four days ago, B-52 Bombers from Minot AFB flew to the Middle East.
  • Yesterday, Trump ordered the USS Nimitz carrier battle group to remain on station in the Persian Gulf.
  • Yesterday, Iran seized a South Korean tanker in the Persian Gulf.

Donald Trump lost his re-election bid. Trump will not relinquish his job which ends on January 20, 2021. Trump is on a path of rape, plunder, and pillage America.

Do the math.

Pardon me if I’m not understanding what you mean here but even if Trump decides to start a war with Iran and/or bomb them back to the Stone Age, his term in office will end at noon on 01/20/21. There is no other option unless the military agrees to help him overthrow the Constitution. And military leaders have been quite clear they have no intention of doing any such thing.

If he does arrive in Scotland, he and anyone else who disembarks from the plane has to go into quarantine for 10 days: no going out, no meeting other people.

He could, of course, fly on elsewhere within the ten days, if they’ll have him and if whoever is willing to fly him. My thought would be possibly Northern Cyprus. Nicer climate, no extradition, sympathetic to “controversial” people if they have money.

Does Trump own a golf resort in Avignon?

Trump being forced to completely self-isolate in Scotland at a time when he’s lost his staff will likely result in him also immediately losing his Twitter account as there’s no way he doesn’t spend the time ranting online. I suppose he could always phone into Fox and Friends again…

Well, he could also get snowed in and suffer a power outtage. Come on Scotland, you know what you need to do!

More likely he’s being dropped off in Scotland by the USAF. By the time they land he won’t be POTUS. Some other entity will soon enough pick him up from there to go elsewhere. Heck, he probably still has his own 757. The one with the gold-plated toilet fixtures he loves so much.

OTOH, Scotland in late January is a thoroughly depressing place. One can hope that gloom pushes him over the edge.

OK, I give up. Not in Urban Dictionary, and it’s probably not “The Canine and Feline Sector Group”.

“Cheeto-Faced Shit-Gibbon”, I believe.

They have a bridge he might want to buy.

Half of one, anyway.

It’s just over 4,000 miles from DC to Avignon.
That’s a bridge too far.

That was my thought as well. If he’s there past noon in Washington on January 20, then he’s a private citizen with no right to direct flights in a military aircraft. It’s Air Force 1 for the flight over, but as soon as Biden is sworn in, it’s a military plane and citizen Trump has no right to fly in it. I suppose they might offer him a courtesy ride back to the US, but if he doesn’t take it, and it leaves, he’s responsible for his own transport.

Maybe he’ll be rescued from Scotland by the mysterious super-hero, Fly-man, who swoops in, flying the Fly-Plane, and picks Trump up, as he stands, lonely and abandoned on the tarmac, surrounded by threatening flocks of Scottish sheep. In the best tradition of the ending of the first installment of an action hero movie, as the Fly-plane takes off, Fly-man pulls off his Fly-mask and reveals his secret identity: Mike Pence! He turns to a surprised Trump and says “Where to, Boss?”

And the Fly-plane flies off towards the rising sun in the east, with the two buddies, ready for the sequel.

This does not compute. WHO is going to force him?? Haven’t y’all noticed: no one can force him to do anything. Period. He doesn’t take suggestions or orders from anyone (except sometimes Ivanka, I think).

Air Force One–the modified two Boeing VC-25A aircraft with presidential livery–are not kept fully fueled and on standby. The operation of Air Force One involves elaborate planning and logistics to assure that the flight is secure and not dependent upon any local resources or support by any government that is not a highly reliable ally. It also requires planning to assure that military and other security support in the case of any instability or attack, and also that thr appropriate Cabinet secretaries and advisors are available to support the Vice President and anyone else in the line of succession should the President be incapacitated or out of contact. (This is less of a concern given global comsat coverage, but the possibility still exists that a mechanical failure or attack could interfere with communications and require an immediate response by executive authority, e.g. a presumptive nuclear attack and response.).

In an actual emergency, such as a strategic attack upon the United States, the President and his key advisors may board the National Airborne Opeations Center (NAOC) which does stand to fly on virtually a moment’s notice in the case of an imminent nuclear attack or terrorist operation which could threaten the President (and would be redesignated as “Air Force One” when POTUS is aboard) but these aircraft have specific mission profiles to avoid traveling toward a threat. The Vice President would board a different aircraft or be taken to another ‘secure location’ to assure continuity of government.

Stranger

Citizen Trump will be told what to do by the police in Scotland, just like any other visitor from another country.

What does ‘kept’, ‘remove’ and ‘taken into custody’ mean in the Bill / Act?

This is not an arrest, it is a limited form of custody where police have care and control of a person to ensure their compliance with any direction or restriction.

There’s also this new rule that would apply to Trump:

# Travellers must show negative Covid test to enter UK

While Nicola Sturgeon has no love for Trump, if she “ran her toe up the crack of his arse” she’d not get her shoe back.

(And yes, I know that’s a comedy account.)

Yeah, that’s what’s supposed to happen. I’ll believe it when I see it.
