My dad has been experiencing problems with Windows 10 calendars. It periodically deletes all old saved items, clears the history. My dad would like to retain his calendar as a record of what happened when.
He had devised a work around using Word to create his own calendar, but I’m wondering what is up. Checking the Windows help site I was able to uncover numerous complaints on this topic from dozens of people.
Unfortunately, Windows 10 does not provide an actual help line. All it has is a comment section that is not patrolled and has no official response.
I had a possibly similar issue a while back, and noticed there was more than one calendar profile with checkboxes next to them. I realized the wrong profile was selected, and found the missing events by correcting this.
I still don’t know how the selection got switched in the first place, I’m the only user on that device. My best guess is an inadvertent change on another device and a consequent networked change as a result. Pure guess, though, and only relevant if this is a profile issue on your father’s computer as well.
