What's up with X-Men Evolution?

From what I’ve seen, that seems to be about right. Cartoon Network just moved the credits before the prologues.

However, I think I noticed a few scenes missing from one of the epsiodes a couple of weeks ago. Unless I missed the beginning, “Spykecam” started with Evan filming Rogue and Kitty in the school hallway, without any explanation of why he suddenly had a video camera (no mention of the history paper he failed or the extra credit assignment). It’s not one of my favorite episodes, but it stuck out in my mind because several minutes were edited out (including the part with Kurt! That’s just wrong.)

I haven’t noticed any major cuts in other episodes yet, but I haven’t really been looking for them, either.

Sometimes in the same scene.

Saw the ep with the carnival, where Boom Boom leaves last night.

One shot (taking his pop back from Boom Boom), Kurt’s 5 fingers spread (not much, but noticably). The next (pointing to the pop machine), they’re connected in pairs.

I have no cite or anything, but I’ve heard that KidsWB will air a couple more episodes in Fall, but I think I heard only 4 new episodes. Can someone vertify this or cite it or something. The 4 episodes deal with Apocalypse!

Well, crap. I missed that episode the first time around, and it sounded really interesting, and now apparently I’ve missed it again.

That’ll teach me not to watch VH-1 specials instead.

You can read the episode plot for “Shadowdance” here. Scroll down to number 24.

Nightcrawler was so adorable in this episode! But then when is he not adorable? Heehee!

Well, yeah, of course I can read the plot. But I wanted to see it. You know, animation. Visuals. Pretty colours.

Okay, I’ll stop whining now.

Like this?

Orbifold, make sure to mark your calendar for July 3rd at 10:30 pm EST. That’s when “Shadowdance” is airing again. It looks like Cartoon Network is running through all the episodes in order on two different schedules. The first is the Sunday through Thursday airings, and the second is the Saturday airings. But, never fear, you can catch that episode next week.

And, yes, “Shadowdance” was a very nice episode. Nightcrawler is definitely my favorite character in this series.

Everyone loves the fuzzy dude!

Not when they showed “Growing Pains”, it wasn’t! The whole introductory “Hey, look, there’s a car driving out of control making that school bus crash into the edge of the overpass!” segment was completely missing!

According to this site, KidsWB has supposedly ordered nine episodes for season 4. The network may be holding the last four episodes of season 3 to fill out season 4 this fall.

Which means we’ll have to wait several more months for the end of the Apocalypse storyline. But I’m not bitter or anything.

Well, I can’t tell you for certain on that one. I tuned into that episode a little too late. I missed the opening credits and everything up to the point where Cyclops knocks the car out of the way with his powers. I’ll try and catch it on the next showing.

And, it looks like I missed ladybug’s link to the Beyond Evolution website. It has a lot of good information, images, and episode summaries. And it also has some of the episode summaries for the four missing season three episodes. Apparently, they’ve been shown elsewhere but just not here (since she says she translated the dialog from French).

What was that, last week? Two weeks ago?

Because I watched it and distinctly remember the school bus crash.

In which case, the only thing you missed was the opening credits, 'cause they cut off everything before when they showed it last Tuesday!

The episode started with the vehicle teetering on the edge of the overpass, and Cyclops having to blast it out of the way. The set-up for this involving the high-speed chase or distracted driver was not there at all last Tuesday.

Well, then it’s probably likely some small snips have been made to the episodes in order to squeeze in extra commercials. At least the didn’t excise the entire prologues; however, it’s still a darn shame that they did it at all. These probably explains something I noticed that we’ll be seeing in tonight’s episode “The Beast of Bayville.” It looks part of a scene was cut about about halfway through the episode between an X-Men meeting the beginning of a search. Watch it; it’ll scream out at you.

My copy of the DVD was delivered to me today. It contains these episodes:

Growing Pains
Power Surge
Bada-Bing Bada Boom
Fun and Games

Plus special features.

There’s a very lovely picture of Kurt on the back cover. drool

sigh … I guess everyone does love the fuzzy dude.

No one can resist the charms of the blue fuzzy elf!
