What's with the Nike Presto commercials?

They’re half dubbed, are totally random, and have nothing to do with shoes. So what the hell is up with these Nike Presto commercials? One has a man jumping from balcony to balcony down a building to retrieve items for his girlfriend, another has a group chasing after a “chicken,” and another one has a chicken chasing a guy… What’s the story?!

I’ve only seen the balcony one, but I’m guessing one can only pull off that sort of feat when wearing a pair of Nike Presto shoes…

Ils semblent être des parodies des films de foriegn, They appear to be parodies of foriegn films, ou quelque chose comme cela. or something like that. Quant pas à doit faire avec chaussure- As for having to do with shoes- n’importe lequel des commericals du Nike doit faire seulement avec des chaussures? Do any of Nike’s commericals have to do solely with shoes? (aucun calembour prévu) No pun intended

Am I the only one wondering why that was a bilingual post?

It was all, like, semiotic and ironic, see? I must rush upstairs and re-read Foucault…

The commercials are great. I downloaded them all from Nike’s website. It’s nice to see an urban exploration group get some good press. I just wish I could jump like that and not break my legs.

They all have as much to do with shoes as the average shoe commercial. Have you ever tried to do any of the things they do without shoes on?

Click on “move” on the left, and then choose the “Le Parkour” option.

Ninj, the founder of infiltration.org was asked by Nike if they could use his website in their promotions, but they aparently chose not to.

I was attempting to parody the style of the commercials. The narrator says a sentence in French, and the translator immediately gives the English translation afterwords.

What, the ad wasn’t for Nike dentures?

in a word: marketing

I love that one with the chicken chasing the guy. [Crow T. Robot] Chickens are a cruel people.[/CT.R]
