I have standard cable and when i got up this morning and turned on the tube my picture seems to be kinda wavy…almost like its blinking constantly(hard to describe kinda) Anyway I’ve disconnected and reconnected the cable cord and that doesn’t seem to help. The picture is otherwise clear as can be, and when I was watching TV last night it wasn’t doing this.
That happens to me when I run my Chinese water fountain.Try plugging your tv into another wall socket.

If it’s still doing it tomorrow, call the cable company, describe it to them, and they’ll talk you through some troubleshooting steps. trust me on this.
One thing you can try on your own is the old unplug-it-and-leave-it-for-a-few-hours trick. Sometimes the embedded computers inside modern electronic equipment can get confused and get stuck in a bad mode. Removing all power and letting it sit can reset this bad behavior, in some cases. No guarantees this will work for you, but it’s one of the few things you can safely do yourself to try to fix a TV.
I’m wondering how your power supply is?
Modern TVs can compensate for a lot more than their 1966 predecessors ever could, but there is a limit. Are you experiencing power fluctuations from you electric supplier, perhaps?
See if it still does this tomorrow…also, how old is your set? It could just be nearing the end of its life.
