When playing videos from YouTube or Amazon Prime, the picture will freeze (the sound continues on) and won’t resume unless I keep the cursor moving over the video. Using Firefox if that makes a diff.
Thanks for any ideas- it’s driving me nuts
sooooo many variables you haven’t mentioned…
OS? Version of your browser? full screen or default size? about three or four more questions, but let’s just cut to the chase:
Have you tried other browsers?
have you updated to latest browser version?
Have you performed all updates to your OS?
Have you performed a driver update on your video card/onboard video?
There’s a start…
I have had a similar problem for more than 2 years.
10+ year old computer
Win XP
Firefox 19.02
Have you tried other browsers?
Yes. I use IE8 to watch YouTube videos, it works more or less.
Have you updated to latest browser version?
Yes
Have you performed all updates to your OS?
Yes
Have you performed a driver update on your onboard video?
Yes, last update in 2006
Adobe Flash is updated.
10+ year old computer is your problem.
You can TRY and update your video card, but in all honesty, the mid-rage video card today is probably more powerful (CPU-wise) than your computer…
Yeah, that’s what I thought, but since others had reported problems with videos & Firefox I hoped there be a fix. I don’t have a video card and can’t get one, just the onboard video.
Thanks
