They picked an excellent week to go kerplooey – I shipped back a DVD last Saturday, before I left for vacation – they claimed they mailed the new one yesterday, so I should get it today, having just gotten home. So absolutely no inconvenience to me, and I get the 15% credit … life is good.
Yesterday morning, it said they were about to send me a DVD, but when I checked in the afternoon, it said it wouldn’t be sent until Monday. I checked again this morning, and it’s now saying it did ship yesterday and should be here today. I’ll believe it when I get it!
The say today they shipped the ones I’ve been waiting for since last Monday. As I won’t get them until at least next Monday, that is one week, one-quarter of a month.
Yet I get only 15 percent credit when it should be 25 percent. Ah, well.
Their system is still telling me to expect my movie Aug 12th. Again, the same movie I’ve already watched and returned - at least their email about getting the returned movie was correct.
Yeah, it’s telling me it’s “shipping Wednesday” a disc that I’ve received already. But I did get two more DVDs today and hopefully the last remaining one will be here Monday.
Yeah, they’re still being goofy. I got a message this morning that I would receive “Hawaii Five-0 Season 3 Disc 2” on Friday–that’s the one I already got on Thursday. Then I got another message that I would receive a movie today–but they skipped over the next four discs of “Hawaii Five-0” and are sending me what was the fifth item on my queue. Odd.
I am on the two at a time plan and I stagger my returns anyway, so I didn’t even know there was a problem till they sent an email. And a short time later everything was fine again.
I had a funny experience with my queue on their Web site Friday: When I went to check in the morning, they had my recently returned DVD of “Martin Chuzzlewit” Pt 1 marked as received, and the next available DVD in my queue, “A Passage to India,” was being prepped to be sent. When I checked again around noon, “Martin Chuzzlewit” was listed as if it hadn’t been received–but “Passage to India” was neither listed as about to be sent, nor returned to the top of my queue where it had previously been. It was if as had disappeared from the list.
I was wondering if I would have to add it into my queue again yesterday to get it, when it came in the mail.
Does anyone know what actually happened that caused all the problems?
