They did this in order to cut off the power from the security system in a specific high-rise building. This allowed a certain individual, who had surreptituously gained entry, to access a room full of television screens in which he met and talked to the Architect.

I think it’s pretty clear that Bush and his power company friends are behind this. They kill the power for a short time, then complain how the systems are outdated but they don’t have the money to spend to update them, so Bush passes the “electric company bailout bill” and the systems (which are private) are updated on US taxpayer money.

Of course, I’m not at liberty to say what’s really going on, but you did notice that the blackout came right after the MSBlaster computer worm infection really got going, right? The blackout was clearly a last-ditch attempt to stop something from going critical in the Net and affecting certain installations in the Northeast USA. The fact that it spilled over into Canada and the Midwest was an accident. But as they say, if you play with the big boys, you’ve got to expect big noises! And you can count the boys bigger than the US President on the fingers of one hand…
