What's your cup-holder cuisine?

What do you eat in the car?

  1. when parked
  2. when riding in a passenger seat
  3. while driving
  4. while racing

All of the above: bottle of water. Due to cupholder placement, actual cups of coffee reprogram my radio whenever I hit a bump

I avoid eating in cars at all costs. Even fast food. I’ll almost always either go inside the fast food joint and enjoy my fries or tacos with ketchup/sauce in peace, or wait until I get home and settle into the couch.

Food to me is ruined by eating it in a car where it’s hard to enjoy. Thats simply eating out of necessity which I am loathe to do. I’d rather savethe calories and tough it out until I had time to enjoy it.

I never eat in my car. I hate crumbs in it. My car stays very clean on the inside; I can’t believe how trashy some people let their cars get with food wrappers, crumbs and such!

I do bring a coffee mug (travel type, placed on my MINI’s ginormous cupholder) in on my morning commute, but never any food.

Since I bought an Alfa Romeo, and since the Italians are above such horrific things as cupholders, I tend to drink my can o’ cherry Coke outside the car, admiring the stunning lines of my 166.

Fries. Whenever I go through the takeout line at lunch, the fries disappear before I get back to the office. And some of the coke.
Plain donuts. I’ve learned I can’t resist having one on the way back, so I always get one plain. Don’t need the distraction of powder or sticky fingers.
And if I’m on a road trip, the kind with long hauls through farm country, I’ll eat snacks while driving. Chips or candy.

I’m an in-car breakfast eater. Usually I have a bottle of water, an energy bar of some sort, and one of those little containers of yogurt. Most of the time I eat the yogurt before I get on 95, but sometimes I don’t finish it by then. A couple of times, I’ve eated it while driving with my knees. Yogurt + 75 mph bumper-to-bumper = :smack:

The scary thing is, I used to be able to eat things like burritos and tacos while driving.

Walnuts. Yay for Atkins!
