What's your favorite Brush & Vine Killer that we can still Buy?

Just cleared out the Vine jungle around my fence. Not sure what type, probably Honeysuckle or something similar. Definitely not poison ivy. I also have that blasted fence hedge. That mess loves to bring up new suckers all up and down the fence. Fence hedge can grow quick and turn into small trees within three years. I’ve been fighting that now for 20 years. I cut one hedge tree the size of my thigh & 10 ft tall in 1996. It was the source of a lot of my problems. Suckers were coming up off the roots.

I’ve battled it twenty years. So far nothing seems to kill it off more than a year or two.

What’s out there that is effective and we can still buy?

I’ve been using Brushkiller 875 for the last couple sprayings. Anything stronger or more lasting?

I’ve heard Diesel fuel is really good to kill vines? Anyone tried that?

I have a 1 gal pump sprayer and normally buy concentrate that I mix myself.

Crossbow.

It kills the woody and broadleaf weeds and leave the grass alone. Works great on black berries.

Put a strong solution directly on the cut end of the stump every two or three weeks throughout the summer. If the stump is big enough you can drill a hole in it and pour some in the hole, or you can use an old paint brush to apply it. Keep applying the stuff until plants in your area go dormant in the fall; in the fall plants are busy taking stuff deep into their roots in preparation for winter. Shouldn’t be a problem next year.

How about killing off catchweed? It just arrived this year, and, holy crap, is it nasty. It’s beating out well established day lillies.
