Nature’s Hand Natural Granola Cereal. I add raisins.

And…Honeycombs RULE!!!
Corn Chex or the generic equivalent. Non-fat milk. No sugar.
Golden Grahams, Fruity Pebbles, Frosted Mini Wheats, Cocoa Krispies, plain Rice Krispies, plain Special K (Special K Red Berries is good, but there are times when freeze-dried strawberries don’t appeal to me)
I LOVE Cap’n Crunch, but hate how it ALWAYS tears apart the roof of my mouth. Masochism, maybe?
Plain ol’ Raisin Bran
Honey Bunches of Oats w/ Almonds
Special K with bananas and a bit of honey
and Sugar Puffs
Mmmm, Cap’n Crunch! And not Crunch Berrys (I find the berries too sweet and distracting), and definitely not Peanut Butter Crunch (I’m not sure what it is, but it’s not peanut butter). Only the true, undiluted yellow goodness for me. And the tearing of the roof of your mouth is the necessary sacrifice to the cereal gods to indulge in the Cap’n’s sweetness.
And anyone who’s read “Cryptonomicon” knows how best to eat it
Can I come over for breakfast? I thought I was the only person in the world who ate Crispex/Corn/Rice Chex without sugar. Someone else may call it bland but I say subtle and sublime.
Add Rasin Bran to the list as well.
Spoon size Shredded Wheat. Never tried 'em with chocolate milk, though.
Special K Red Berries!
Never ate Special K before, wasn’t interested. But I love the dehydrated strawberries in corn flakes bit. They rehydrate nicely in the milk.
Multi-grain Cheerios. They’re very lightly frosted, which helps. Actually quite good, I like them better than the regular Cheerios.
Now they’ve come out with Cheerios Berry Burst, with dried strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Good, but not great. However, if they ever do a Special K version, I’m in!
Did ya’ know they now make Strawberry Honey Comb…mmmmmm
Whoever said Kashi Go-lean must like their transient taste as the cereal spends only approximately 10 minutes in yoour body before it shoots out your ass. Colon Blow indeed.
Now that I have adult tastes, I’ll third Snooopy’s & TelcontarStorm votes for Crispix, the Rice/Corn Chex hybrid, rip-off from Kellogs.
When I was a kid, we were only allowed to have sugared cereals on Saturdays, every other day of the week we had to have either a hot breakfast or non sweetened cerals like corn flakes, cheerios or rice crispies. I still miss the occasional bowl of Quisp & would love to see a tape of the old Freakies commercials.
Wheat Chex. Wheaties. Cheerios.
Honeycomb, Rice Chex, Life (regular, not cinnamon).
And if any company ever makes Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs, I’ll buy it.
I’m gonna have to say Life is my favorite. It’s got just the right ammount of sweetness for me.
And just my .02, Special K Red Berries is TOTAL CRAP! The “berries” are like cardboard slices.
Fruity Pebbles leaves a disturbing film on the inside of my mouth. Not the kind of thing I usually want to start the day off with.
Raisin Nut Bran, Blueberry Morning, and Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries are all fine and dandy cereals.
And then, for desert, there’s Mud & Bugs, which is basically Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs With Marshmallows with an added level of surreality.
Quaker Oat Squares…they are addictive. Good with or without milk and they make a great midday snack.
What about hot cereals? I bet I’m probably the only one here that still craves and eats malt-o-meal on a regular basis!!! I love it, but I add way too much sugar and butter.
Anybody remember another cereal from the 70’s called, and yes, it’s a weird name, “Norman”? That stuff was so good I can still remember exactly what it tasted like. I’d love to have a box of that stuff again. Nowadays there are a few I like:
Product 19, dry, no milk.
The big frosted mini-wheats, although my stomach disagrees
cocoa pebbles
the aforementioned Special K Red Berries
I buy Crunch Berries so that my wife and daughter can steal all those crappy berries and leave me with the good yellow ones.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch anyone? And has Lucky Charms been mentioned yet?
hi guys~ been quite awhile since I posted! but I would have to
go with Raisin Brand and Capt.Crunch!
Rich in Seattle.
Cracklin’ Oat Bran . . . you just can’t go wrong with little oatmeal cookies submerged in milk, and it has fiber equal to Colon Blow (therefore relatively healthy). Closely followed by . . . hmmm . . . Peanut Butter Crunch.
Note: the number two spot was very difficult to assign. Dry cereal brings me closer to God.
