What's your favorite season?

I’ve never had the roaches stick around in winter here in NYC, but then again I have 2 cats so I might have roaches and not know it. Kitties may think of them as crunchy snacks.

The late part of fall when it’s warm in the day time but gets so cool at night you can hang out on the back porch without the skeeters biting.

Depends…

Spring (which starts around MLK Day here) - love it. The rains get more sporadic, I get to start wearing less clothing, Faire season starts (which means I get to see all my friends again), and my eye starts wandering. Not that I do anything about it, mind, but I’m definitely more In The Mood in springtime.

Summer nights are a glory, they make me feel like a kid again. Summer also means I get to wear lighter clothing, which makes me happier.

Late summer/early Fall - the Santa Anas blow, and one day I swear they’ll pick me up and I will fly…“windy” is my very favorite weather.

Fall is OK. Some parts of it are good, but toward the end it just gets too winter-y.

Winter is freaking annoying. Cold - sometimes even with frost on the ground in the morning! And rainy, and I have to wear way too many layers to go out. My birthday and Xmas are the only good things about winter.

Summer. I love it when it’s hot. People complain about it being “too hot” but that only happens two days a year, unlike four months solid of too cold. If I lived somewhere with lower humidity, I bet I’d love summer even more than I already do

passes out

This is almost as gross as the time my friend told me his cat yacked up something with a cricket head in it.

Spring! Waking up from the winter doldrums, desert wildflowers, Sierra waterfalls, green, green, green all over the place, my birthday. Summer and fall are a close second and third, but Winter is too cold to be anything but last.

I voted fall with winter a close, close second. I love it cold and the start of the school year.

Summer. Yes, in Phoenix, AZ. It is hot, but I like the long days. Baseball season is in full swing. Spring would be second. I don’t like the allergies and some springs are too rainy. Fall is third. I like football, but the days getting shorter suck. Also, work starts to get busy. I hate winter. Too many snowbirds, rain, and cold mornings.

I went with Fall. It was always a relief after the dog days of a humid DC summer when I was a kid. And although fall colors are certainly beautiful in MD, two and a half years living in the Appalachians showed me why Autumn is truly the Glorious Season.

Winter.

Hockey, snow, hockey.

And I would rather take -25C over +25C any day. I am always hot.

Football Season, which begins in late Summer, and ends in mid-Winter.

Summer. Mid-summer with the fireflies shining in the late evening. Twilight until 10PM and sometimes a feeling that it never gets all the way dark.

I understand, deep in my soul, why the fey come out at this time. It’s magical.

I love fall and summer is pretty great, too, but spring is best of all. Everything is fresh and green, and you’re putting nasty, old winter behind you for the next nine months.

I answered the fall; primarily because of the weather (perfect for me…not too hot during the day, and cool to cold at night!). The second though…there’s just something about the fall, some feeling I get from it that makes me feel good. I think it’s part nostalgia (jumping around in leaves, expecting all the holidays that are coming) and part nature itself (we moved to the woods in the PA mountains when I was 10).

Wow. Fall is just about getting a majority. I thought it would be a lot more evenly split between fall, summer and spring.

Summer, without even a second thought. Beach time, tanning, fresh seafood, vacations, girls in summer dresses, late nights, shorts and sandals, and more beach time.

If there’s always a bit of sand in my bathtub, I’m happy.

Summer. Long days, short nights, baseball, fishing, water sports in general. I have mostly lived in places where is doesn’t get too hot and there is no humidity so it’s fantastic. We’re all bitching about how hot it is today since it was 88 at lunch with 20% humidity. I love waking up and going to bed with the sun during the week no dark dreary days.

Of course baseball is in full swing and the girls are running around wearing almost no clothing. I just can’t find a down side until the temp breaks 100 at which point it sucks for 2 weeks and then it’s back to perfect.

Season 3 of Buffy.

Duck season.

Wabbit season.
