Shelbo, you were right, and now I’m really stuck on Inaudible Melodies. Great album. Posters is pretty good, too.
There’s a new one out by a new chick named Nora Smith (?) I don’t know the name of the song, but it’s a jazz/pop kind of thing and I just love it. Her father is Ravi Shankar…go figure.
Sam Phillips - How To Dream
Probably because tonight is the season finale of Gilmore Girls. It’s one of the songs they use as incidental music. Beautiful stuff.
It’s a Long Road to Richmond
Momma Tried, Merle Haggard
Callin’ Baton Rouge - by Garth Brooks
Complicated - Avril Lavigne
eels - your lucky day in hell
I have a new favorite already. “Blue lights” by Marry Me Jane. (if anyone finds it for download somewhere, I’d be shocked and amazed. Maybe as much as I was to get the cd for 99 cents, which is a little sad. It’s not as good as their self-titled, but still.)
Even Song by Gomez
A tie between Longfellow’s “Fading into Forgotten” and Millencolin’s “Penguins and Polarbears,” I think.
Tanaqui
Endangered Love by Larry the Cucumber.
(I watch my daughter’s videos too much.)
Today it’s Tom Waits’ Fish and Bird from his new CD Alice. Yesterday it was Cassadra Wilson’s cover of Shelter from the Storm.
