Time? 1920’s, 1930’s, 1940’s.
To answer your intended question, I like longer tunic tops. I am both fat and freakishly long in the waist. I don’t like to share my belly blubber with the world.

I have a green longsleeve hiking shirt that I either wore or carried with me every day for seven months. I never wear it anytime but hiking or going in the woods, and it’s definitely seen better days, but I will never, ever get rid of it.
I think I like clothing right now. There has been a pretty classical smooth cut of clothes that I find attractive. Think Detective Beckett in Castle or the cast of Gossip Girl.
I like turtlenecks–black turtlenecks, to be exact. I like to wear them with long, boot-cut jeans and black boots. Too bad I live in Florida.
They’re not all that in style right now, but I love blazers, always have. Jeans, turtlenecks, blazers–love them.
I also like black skirts that hit just above the knee, because that’s the best length for me, with black tights. I have a snuggish black-and-gray dress that I love wearing right now with black tights and black Mary Jane pumps.
Yeah, I wear a lot of black. In Florida, no less.
This would be my solution too, only my legs are stumpy in proportion to the rest of me and a tunic accentuates that :smack:
My single favorite article of clothing is a $14 plain gray hoodie I bought in the boys’ department at Target. As I am a 36 year old woman, I find that mildly alarming. But, I wear it pretty much constantly at home 6 months a year and pretty frequently to go to campus or to run errands. I love it.
Lost: A pair of green hemp shoes that my previous dog chewed up. Never found anything like them again. Light, comfy, ruggen, warm and cool…sigh…
Have now: anything made from cobblecloth, both because I like the look and because my father introduced me to it.
Fantasy: I want a dark purple trenchcoat, or at least a long coat. Unfortunatly, purple is not a “manly” color, so I’m SOL.
I love my jammies, but if we’re talking about out and about clothes, I think my favorite is my bolero dress. It’s white, with tan beading around the waist and hem and spaghetti straps. The jacket is tan to match the beading and cropped like a bolero jacket. I found the perfect pair of heels, open toed white with tan accents.
I also have a red dress with sexy strappy red sandals, but I think it’s a bit too flashy for work.
Last February, on a wet and blustery day, I bought my Eddie Bauer water-proof coat with a removable fleece liner. This coat is perfect in almost every way…it won’t do for dress-up but is perfect for everything else that a girl needs a coat for.
I love tops with interesting necklines and/or sleeves, and skirts that flare just above or around the knee. I like looking girly but not too girly (I hate ribbons and excessive ruffles).
