What's your favorite word?

Gay elves… homoglobin… hee hee!

Trying to shop for curtains was a trip: “Do you think these drapes hee hee will match these other drapes hee hee hee?”

I also second the word monosyllabic, cuz it’s so not!

callipygian
(having shapely buttocks)
melcryptovestimentaphilia
(fondness for women’s black lingerie)

Sniggy (I know it’s not a real word, but it sounds so cool)
Scrod (yes, like the fish, long story)
Love (it just has so much meaning to it)
various sexual words (fondle, lick, suck, feel, etc)

When my Granmaam says “special” on the phone and it comes out “spacial”, I always have to grin. Takes me back in time and space.

unwieldy
niggardly
ninny hammer
velvet

A mix between Eigantic and Enormus, but bigger than both combined. Some people say it’s not a real word, and that it’s just made up, but they’re wrong…

i also like “…” like SILENT-BOB, i don’t know why but i write it lots… kinda hard to say tho…

What a terrible typo, and i proof read too!!!
That sposed to be Gigantic… sheesh, how’d i miss that?

Loquacious. It has such a nice round sound.

I also like the nice rhythm and feeling of some Latin phrases: In nomine patri et fili et spiritu sancti…

My favorite words are all very trite. But I’ll share them anyway. (I hate the word trite)
Damn.
Bluff.
Spatula.
Existentialism.
Flup!

That last one counts twicr. Oh yeah, also clinoungemadicite.

flup

ravish
like
animal

Especially when used in close proximity.

It’s late, so I’ll probably remember more when my brain is fuctioning. Right now the only word I can think of is Czechoslovakia. Dunno why - it’s just one o’ them thaaangs.

I like the words “Penchant”, “Mordant” and “Pique”…mmmm…wordy goodness.

Never much thought about it…

Agkistrodon
Lachrymose (can’t pronounce it, but like it anyway)
Decollope
Goofball (as in medications)
Viper (as in pot-smoker)
Fiend
Swedge
Whiffletree
Snaffle
Adamanteus
Madagascar
Balderdash
Beowulf
Trebuchet
Necrosis

I’d better leave it here. There are so many words with neat sounds, meanings, and spellings that it gets kind’a hard to guit. When I was a kid, sometimes I’d read the Dictionary for kicks. Had no life then, either.

Wedgie. I love the way it flows out so smoothly. I don’t like getting them, though.

Wump - “Bump! Bump! Bump! We have a Wump with just one hump”
Nook - “What good to a Nook is a hook cook book?”
Zans - “Have you a Zans for cans?”
Gox - “I like to box. How I like to box! So, everyday, I box a gox.”
Ying - “It is fun to sing if you sing with a Ying.”
