MSNBC and Newsweek are running an online quiz. It’s a series of 130 general knowledge questions with multiple choice and true/false answers. It’s not for the faint of heart - I did well above average by getting 68% right.
Goog lord, you have to submit them one by one?!?
I stopped at question 17 after the last eight or so questions were about US politics. Do not know, do not care. I thought it was supposed to be a global test, not a US politics test.
That’s a really dumb quiz.
How many hairs (on average) are on the scrotum of every male illegal immigrant that comes into the country?
Uh, I got to question 5 and I had a score of 1%, so I figured there was no need to continue…
They get asked one at a time if that’s what you mean.
There are a number of different topics but they’re grouped together so you’ll have a run of questions on one subject.
I said it was tough, but it isn’t ridiculous. The first three questions are “What percentage of Europe’s energy supply is controlled by Russia?” “Which is the United States’ biggest trading partner?” and “What percentage of U.S. debt does China own?” These are real questions not Trivial Pursuit.
You start out with a really low score. The percentage shows how many questions you got right out of the total of 130. With only five questions answered, your maximum possible score is less than 4%.
Trivial Pursuit - now, that’s a game!
Oh. Well, now I feel even dumber.
After ten questions and not even getting one right, I kinda gave up.
::Emotear::
After 60 questions, I’m at 20%.
I will get through this, I will get through this, I will get through this…
scored 52%
slighlty less dumb than most…
FML
I scored 50%. Meh.
Argh. 45%. I are dumb.
At 89 I have a 32, but I am too tired to continue. I don’t know if this is really indicative of anything. What does knowing where some hockey players went to college have to do with a ‘global iq’? I got most of the religion questions right though, which I’m happy about. That means I have the requisite knowledge of religion that MSNBC requires of me to have!
49%. Solidly average. Nailed the religion questions, and I think there were some other’s I could have gotten right if I hadn’t been in a hurry.
48%
Durrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Another 50%. I thought a number of the questions were really truly stupid (then again, I aced religion.)
Yeah, the majority of the questions were “global” in precisely NO manner at all.
I scored 52%, too. FML and I get to go to the same dinner parties, according to the scoring. The Art and Literature questions saved me.
The only think I didn’t expect in that quiz was the comfy chair.
