I always thought the iron was just plain dumb and I didn’t even know what a top-hat WAS until after I’d been playing Monopoly for years as a kid. (OK, so I led a deprived childhood…)
I was always the shoe.
The rest of the people in my family knew it, and so I never had to play with another piece.
