0/2 with a write-in and a vote for Gary Johnson.
I’m guessing my record is fairly unusual: 4/4.
Yeah, I’m . . . not proud.
Four out of nine. I’ve voted the Democratic ticket since Reagan was first elected.
Two out of three.
2004 Kerry (lost)
2008 Obama (won)
2008 Obama (won)
Turned 18 in 2004 and voted first then.
2004 Kerry - Lost
2008 Obama - Won
2012 Obama - Won*
- Did not vote in this election, but not by choice. I work offshore and live in Texas, where the early voting didn’t start until after I was shipped off to the boat. I tried to get an absentee ballot to vote, but didn’t get it for some unknown reason. I am just going to pretend for the rest of my life that I actually did vote in this election because I wanted to so badly.
Three outta five, plus I skipped a couple election cycles.
Same here.
1980: Carter X
1984: Mondale X
1988: Dukakis X
(I sat out the vote in '92 and '96, although now I would have voted for Clinton then…which is a time warp…)
2000: Nader X
2004: Kerry X
2008: Obama √
2012: Obama √
2 for 7. Damn, it took 28 years before I managed to cast a winning vote.
This was the first year I have been able to vote, and I voted for Obama.
'88: Dukakis (lost to Bush)
'92: Bush (lost to Clinton)
'96: Dole (lost to Clinton)
'00: Bush (beat Gore)
'04: Bush (beat Kerry)
'08: McCain (lost to Obama)
'12: Johnson (lost to Obama)
2 out of 7, or ~28%.
In ten elections, five wins (Carter, Clinton, Clinton, Obama, Obama) and five losses (Reagan, Reagan, Bush, Bush, Bush).
1996 - Clinton won
2000- Gore lost
2004 - Kerry lost
2008 - Obama won
2012 - Obama won
I’m identical to this.
96-Dole Lost
00-Bush Won
04-Bush Won
08-Obama Won
12- Romney Lost
3-2
