What's your stereotypical outfit?

Black dress, unusual shoes & a killer brooch.

VCNJ~

Black pants and a dress shirt. It may be gray, redish, blue or white.

I wish we’d started this thread by including our age and gender. :stuck_out_tongue:

Mundane, boring stuff really…
Fall/Winter/early Spring - Denim jeans and a Champion sweatshirt, simple and functional
Summer - change the sweatshirt to a T-shirt, jeans normally, jean shorts for brutally hot weather (anything over 85 F, stop snickering at me Southern Dopers… )

Jeans, a black t-shirt, and a cardigan or open button-down shirt.

Female and 21, for the record, although I basically dress like my mom (we even have the same shoes).

Black Reebok leather high-tops, black Levis 505s, and a black long-sleeved shirt, preferably all-cotton with a button-down collar. Sometimes I wear a belt with a fancy buckle (DaVinci’s homunculus, anarchy “A”, dragons, Celtic knots…).

Sometimes I wear black Dockers, and sometimes I wear black t-shirts, or my usual shirt style in gray or blue, but the above is what anyone who knows me will think of as my “uniform.”

Jeans, black t-shirt with something geeky or an industrial band logo on it, hoodie, and slip-on Vans skateboard shoes, socks optional. Now that I’m telecommuting it’s become pretty much a uniform. In the summer, lose the hoodie.

For work:
Black pants or skirt, black or nude pantyhose, white turtleneck sweater or blouse, black pumps or ankle boots, diamond studs, stainless steel watch.
For off-time:
Hip-hugger jeans, big black leather belt, black sweater or baby tee in black, red or purple; bandana, silver hoop earrings, black ankle boots, stainless steel watch. Or, same jeans, striped belt, polo shirt, pink flip flops or Keds (no socks), hair ribbon to match the polo shirt, sport watch with striped ribbon band.
For good:
Black cocktail dress, pearls or brooch, black stilettos, diamond studs, gold bangles, no watch.
For really good:
Long black dress, cream Italian silk shawl, Manolos, jewelry of choice, no watch. Fur if it’s cold.

I’m pretty close to that - almost invariably, it’s some variety of carpenter jeans, (usually Carhartt) grubby work boots, a flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up and an access badge hanging on a ratty old lanyard.

I’ve got these long monkey arms so it’s a rare shirt that’s actually sufficiently long-sleeved, hence the rolling-up.

And yes, I’m a “you-can’t-fire-me-because-nobody-else-understands-these-servers-and-their-screwball-users” back-shop Geek.

I’ve worn a hoodie every day, without exception, for all seasons and in every kind of weather, since 2002.

(No, not the *same *hoodie.)

Roller skates, white leather pants with the butt cheek portions cut out, electric blue fishnet half shirt and a gold sparkle 70’s era motorcycle helmet with the words “Fast Movin” painted on it.

Or hipster jeans, Chucks, and all sorts of different shirts.

There’s a lot of us Chuck wearers on the Dope it seems.

Cool cazh: Felt fedora or newsboy cap, leather flight jacket, ankle boots such as Blundstones, some sort of shirt and pants in muted colors, funky vintage tie optional.

Warm cazh: Panama or pork pie straw or linen newsboy, wicking tee, baggy-ass shorts, flexible climber-type shoes, footy sox.

I don’t have one… at least, I don’t think I do. I’ll have to ask around.

I do know that whatever people decided to wear to the party, at least one item in bright aqua blue, and they’d have on some funky striped socks (ditto) and a funky pair of shoes. Those are most certainly a constant in my wardrobe.

Also, their underpants would match their outfit. Not that most of them would know about that particular habit.

Wide leg black pants, form fitting singlet, $5 thongs (flip-flops) and LV Josephine.

Casual: Levi’s, obnoxiously colored crocs. Top style will vary, and may or may not match my ugly shoes.

Not-casual: High heels, tight Levi’s and a top that shows off my boobs.

Dressy: High heels, something slinky that shows off my boobs.

My fashion statements are quite simple – comfy or boobylicious.

(43, female)

Toga.

(Jeans and a t-shirt with sneakers, pretty much. shrug)

Huge sterling silver hoop earings
Amber jewelry
Head wrap or afro
dark glasses
lip gloss
low cut shirt or turtle neck
leather jacket
too tight jeans
high heals
Big buck-toothed grin

ETA: I almost forgot! Almost always in black and red.

Cute flippy skirt or trousers, sweater set or fitted blazer, fabulous shoes.

The clothing is completely secondary to the shoes.

I work at Wal-Mart 6 days a week, so blue t-shirt or polo shirt and khaki pants. Even though I’m in class 4 out of those 5 days. I just don’t want to go home and change.

On my day off, it’s usually jeans and a patterned button-down shirt of some sort, unless it’s hot outside, in which case it may be shorts and the sleeves may be rolled up.

Now that I’m a student again, it’s jeans, a stretchy, low-necked T-shirt, Skechers, and a hoodie.
