The thing is, if exactly what he was donating his money to was the issue, he wouldn’t have any problem with releasing the forms he sent into the IRS. The only time you have to specify on your tax return exactly what your donations were is if they were property other than cash. All you have to do for cash contributions over $250 is have a document from the organization stating the amount that you contributed that it deductible and keep it with your tax records. It does not become part of your tax return, but is a supporting document if you get audited. Thus, this sort of accusation that he gave money to unsavory causes is not something that can be disproven by releasing tax returns.
The point is not to make Trump release his tax returns. The point is just to create a baseless smear using exactly the same tactics that Trump uses, and also to manipulate google (eg google bomb).
Just look up what Republican Senator Santorum’s “Google problem” is to see a remarkably successful example.
NO…I think people really want to see Trump’s tax returns. Trump is enabling a so-called “baseless smear” by NOT releasing them.
It should be pointed out that the man is severely delusional. I can think of three times when he saw things that didn’t happen. The 911 crowds dancing, the money being unloaded, and the letter from the NFL. And he doubles down on these visions.

But Donald Trump is a pathological liar. And I mean that he probably lies so frequently and so blatantly that I honestly wonder if this man can truly differentiate between fact and fiction. I truly wonder, seriously wonder if this person has a firm grip on reality.
