Whatz up wit Zack de la Rocha?

I heard he’s working with Trent Reznor.
Is that true or is he just using his state of the art studio to drop bombs?

any release dates?
album names?

Any dope on that??

I got the previous info from here http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1457027/20020814/story.jhtml
but it leaves much to be desired by hard core RAGE fans.

I don’t think that this is even the correct type of board to gain hard core info from anyeway but I am simply starving for more info on the topic and will take it from any source possible (no matter how unlikely!)

He did a compilation with DJ Extreame called
“March of death”. You may want to Shareza the demo (extreamly fresh and and novel)

This is some cutting edge stuff from one of the most innovative lyricists in the scene (if you dig on that type of stuff)
I miss DA rage badly!!!
I like Audio Slave but Zack was and is da BOMB!!

Enjoy

I thought he was working with DJ Shadow.

Zack De La Rocha Official Page. Kinda sparse at the moment. The March of Death download ain’t working though.

March of Death was with DJ Shadow. I thought it was alright, but I expected more from such a pairing. Of course, it blew Audioslave away. Not that that’s saying much.

It seems like he’s not doing squat.

But, Chris Cornell and the remnants of Rage - Audioslave are tearing it up.

Don’t get me wrong I dig Audio Slave but it’s nowhere near as innovative as RAGE was with Zack blowing up the mic. I know that he must want to upstage his former band mates and that might be why
he is waiting until his new shit is brightly polished before he puts it out but it is taking way too fuckin long!! I miss Da’ Rage badly!!
That was a serious innovative ass kickin sound they had and nothing out there today comes even close to it yet!!
Hurry Up Zack!!

I am damn suprised by Audioslave. That group came out great. I was a big fan of both bands (at different points in my life) and was expecting audioslave to suck balls but they can rock.

I thought Audioslave broke up already?

Anyone know what the hell Zack was thinking during his hardcore Hare Krishna band Inside Out (Revelation Records) phase?

I saw their show with Shelter around '90 and it was a full fledged, high pressure, Krishna recruitment drive aimed at (pre-Nirvana) disenfranchised punk rock kids (an easy target). Myself and most of my friends left in disgust when it started to get really bad. (This wasn’t just singing songs about Krishna, which is fine, or expressing devotion to their religion, this was in your face witnessing times a billion, from the stage and with robed Krishnas everywhere in the crowd literally signing kids up.)

I couldn’t listen to RATM without wincing after that display. I mean, an anti-establishment band derived from a band that tried to recruit people to a religious establishment, screw that. They weren’t going to see a nickle from me. But the more I think about it, was Zack a part of all that, or just a caught in an odd situation at that time? If he was part of it, is he still? Or, what made him change?

Eeeks, my post sounds pretty angry. Sorry about that, still got some of that PR angst left I guess!

The actual questions are,

Was Zack involved with Hare Krishna recruiting during his shows with Inside Out and Shelter?

If so, is he still involved with that?

If not, is that part of why he left and started RATM?

Thanks!
