So there I was, drapped across the couch next to my uncle, watching Romeo Must Die. I was teasing my uncle about his obvious love jones for Aaliyah (RIP) while flexing my toes when. It. Happened.
The middle toe on my right foot suddenly freezes up, then begins a slow and torturous upward climb, much like Dracula rising from his tomb. It was just sort of sticking straight up there, its toenail staring me brazenly in the eye. The other four toes were uneffected.
Being a logical, calm, rational kind of girl, I immediately started screaming bloody murder and thrashing about wildly. Thrusting my foot at my uncle, I shrieked, “Do something! It’s bending upwards! Do SOMETHING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!”
My uncle is understandably confused by my sudden hysteria and the fact that I’ve stuck my foot with its zombie toe directly in his face. Reaching out, he grabs the toe and gives it one hard yank. For one achingly slow moment, nothing happens. Then, at last, the toe deflates back down to join its brethren, and I collapse on my uncle in relief and gratitude.
I’m still not sure how that happened or what brought on the attack of the zombie toe. I just know I never want to go through such an ordeal again. Fortunately, the toe hasn’t acted up since but I still keep a close eye on it, for fear that it will one day accomplish its nefarious mutiny.
My toes have done that, particularly that middle one. I think it’s just a muscle spasm and man does it hurt lol.
My eye likes to attack sometimes by twitching uncontrollably (the skin underneath the eye actually) but no one can see it…however it feels like my whole face has a spaz attack.
Heh, good to know I’m not the only one. I recall a TMI thread a while back in which a lady related the tale of how she was almost smothered by her own breasts. I think that qualifies as attacking body parts.
A spasm or cramp of some sort near my ankle made my right foot turn under and sulk. Not to be so easily manipulated, I waited it out. Hmmpph! It never tried that again!
i sometimes get a wierd kind of cramp that makes my foot curve inwards along it’s length. nothing is more unpleasant than the feeling of bones that should never touch grinding against each other shudder. oh, that and the massive amount of pain…
