I’ve been “out of the loop” as it were between Seasons 3 and 10, i saw a smattering of S4 eps, but for the most part, i’m familiar with Cartman being an antisocial, spoiled little brat, but in S10, he actually seems…Evil… a complete sociopath
at what point did Cartman become a sociopath?
I haven’t watched a lot of South Park, but I’m guessing that it was at episode 501, Scott Tenorman Must Die or before. (Not that Cartman was ever the most kind-hearted young man ever.)
Yeah, probably at “Scott Tenorman Must Die” was where he crossed the line from annoying to psychopathic. That’s the episode where he tricks a kid’s parents into going to some farm whose owner shoots people on site. Then he has said parents ground up, and cooks them into chili. Then he feeds the chili to the kid. After Scott is pretty much done with the chili, Cartman breaks the news to him.
I still chuckle thinking about Carman licking the tears up and saying with joyous deligh “Ohh your tears are so salty! Mmm!”
And then he has Radiohead make fun of him.
“Dude, let’s not piss off Carman ever again.”

I heard someone here, I believe it was pizzabrat, comment that hints have been dropped suggesting Cartman as also being homosexual.
I posted in that thread questioning what led him to believe this, but I didn’t see a reply (he may have posted one but the thread got buried and I’m not in the mood to find it at this point), so pizzabrat, if you’re out there, what’s up?
I think pizzabrat is referring mainly to Cartman’s “secret” backyard tea parties, including the one in which he dressed up as Britney Spears and made out with a Justin Timberlake cardboard stand-up.
Here’s a parrallel for you: Remember that episode where Cartman creates a Senor Wences-style hand puppet, names it J-Lo, becomes a pop sensation, and ends up giving Ben Affleck a handjob in a Ferrari?

There have been a lot of signs though. the tea parties and stuffed animals show schizophrenia and he has been pretty messed up though he turned fully crazy in ‘scott tenerman must die’. in tmi(one of the newer episodes) when the cousellor asks how he responds when he calls him fat and he justs stays on his phone. the wife then rings him and, believing him to be with another woman due to cartman, then kills herself. the one with the stuffed dolls dying shows major split personality disorder with him doing the things without even realising it.
You do realize this thread is 7 years old right?
Most small children are narcissistic sociopaths. They are just so cute that sometimes we are distracted from the signs.
To be fair, Scott Tenorman was asking for it. Maybe not eat-my-parents level asking for it, but he was being a douche.
Plus talking about what great little sociopaths they are make great talk show fodder.
Did they imply at some point that Cartman is Satan’s son, or am I conflating things?
Satan’s son was a different kid, Damien, who was only in one episode.
