How are all of you already buying and playing if the game isn’t available for sale until the 14th, which is tomorrow? Or if you pre-ordered it, did that mean you could pick it up early?
Payton at least one poster said the 13th for US, 14th for Canada and 16th for Europe. Don’t know where you are, but the 13th (today) it was on the shelves in the US.
Question for you folks who are playing it: what are you using for control? Mouse/keyboard, gamepad? How is the driving done? I find mouse/keyboard to be the best for FPS games (ie the walking around part of VC), but I can’t stand using the keyboard to drive vehicles. What are the options and how are YOU doing it?

It was out today in Canada, the 13th.
I’m playing it with a mouse and keyboard. There is an option to use the mouse while steering, but I use only use the keyboard for it. If you want you can map the gas and brakes to your mouse buttons.
What little differences are there between the PC version and the regular version?
I remember there were several subtle differences between the GTA3 PC and regular, anything interesting enough to mention?
Well, you can once again use MP3’s when you get tired of listening to the radio stations. Also you can do instant replays of 30 seconds and save them. The graphics were re-done, I believe they are all 32 bit now. As for the storyline and missions and such I couldn’t tell you how it differs from the PS2 version since I’ve never played it.
Well, it appears I over-reacted. I stopped by BB last night and they had tons on the shelf and I appeared to be the only one in the store interested in it.
I also got a $10 gift card.
Impressions: It kicks ass! The graphics and character movement are improved. The cars are a lot cooler. I’m very impressed they got licenses to put all those songs on the radio stations. “Living After Midnight” by Judas Priest while sailing through the streets in a Lambourghini rocks!
Question to those who’ve played it: Is the lawyer character based after Sean Penn’s character in some movie about coke? Scarface? I can’t remember.
I think Sean Penn’s character was from Carlito’s Way. Yeah, there is a resemblance.
Anyone else have the police helicopter drop SWAT team members after you while you are on foot? Holy SHIT, dude!! 
I’m not sure it kills the SWAT guys, but you could always try blowing up the helicopter before they hit the ground.
You’ll need the rocket launcher for that. There’s one near the airport.
