I almost started a thread on this as well. I was going to ask; How the hell do you do this in 15? 19 is the best I can do so far. I hate you frigging math wizards that can do it in 6. (Maybe not possible, but if 6 is possible, a Doper will do it) 
I eventually got it in 16 (don’t ask how) and it says I tied with the previous champion. That sounds good!
So much for my plan to go to bed…
I managed to get it eaten in 17 bites.

I am the champion! This is the highlight of my life so far.
The technique:Figure out where the centre of the pie is. Make your first bit so it just touches the centre. Your next bite should just touch the centre from the opposite side. The next two should also just touch the centre, at a 90 degree angle from the first two. So now you have a four-leaf clover shape bitten out of the middle. Now just work your way around the outside, biting off as much as possible with each bite. You can get away with leaving one or two small crumbs, but not too many. If you follow this technique you can make 15, but YOU CAN NEVAR BE THE FIRST BECUASE THATS ME !!!1111111

I played a few more times, and on the times when I scored 16 it still told me I tied the champion, even though it previously told me I was the champion with 15! You know what this means, don’t you? It means I was probably not the first one to get 15! It says you’re the new champion when you get 15, even if it’s been done before!! Man, this is depressing. The highlight of my life has proven to be a sham. A SHAM! A shampoo? No, A SHAM!! 
Shit. I did it last night when this was submitted on Fark. If you’re troubled by how to do it, some of the math geniuses there put together a chart diagramming with multiple colors how to do it. Here’s the thread.
16 is the best I could do as well. I must stop playing now…
Heh-16 is as good as I’ve gotten thusfar, using all of those geometric brain cells that haven’t been tickled since college. 
Did it in 15 thanks to Manduck. It also said I was the new champion. But yeah, it should say tied with since obviously others can do it.
