When I Fall in Love, by the Lettermen

I went for decades without hearing this song, and now in the last 2 years it seems like everyone is singing it or using it instrumentally as a soundtrack. (It was used in Good Night and Good Luck for instance).

I got to thinking abougt the version I heard when I was a kid and tried to snag a copy online but it seems to have vanished entirely. I think it was a group called “The Lettermen” and they sang in harmony with one singer having a Frankie-Valli type very high falsetto-voice.

Anyone else remember that?

Yes, I remember that one, and have it, too. November 1961, #7. It’s a nice song. I don’t have any ideas on why it’s unavailable, but if you PM me, I can tell you how to get a copy.
