For a small percentage of you, I predict you’ll think of a specific movie immediately.
If you don’t, then you obviously have never seen said movie, otherwise it would have been an instant thought in your mind as soon as you heard that phrase.
In other words, this poll is basically “Have you seen the movie Student Bodies?” written in an evasive way.
I think of a set of bookends with horseheads ‘carved’ into them…like this.
I had some almost identical to these on a bookshelf in my room when I was growing up.

I had a set of wooden horsehead bookends. And my answer to your spoilered questions is “nope.”
And I thought first of the film The Godfather, even though the horsehead wasn’t used as a bookend.

I haven’t read the responses, but I would’ve picked all of the above, had that been a choice. A movie? So, I would’ve gone one and two.

I’m the ONLY person that thought of horses! I had horses forever and am nuts about them. 
I’ve seen those, don’t recall where, but that’s what I thought of too. I think they were somewhat common back when people pretended to read books.
yep, movie. used to see every horror/slasher movie that came out.
We had some ugly-ass glass horsehead bookends in the house when I was a kid, so that’s my go-to.

I think of bookends. Specifically the ones my mom used to have - ceramic, dating from the 30s. Closest thing I can find to them in a quick google is this.
