When is Mother's Day in the UK this year?

Could someone on that side of the pond check their calendar for me? If my memory is right, it’s earlier in the year than here in the US.

I hope we didn’t miss it already.

Been and gone sorry :frowning:

It always falls before Easter, this year it was 6th March.

(It was originally known as ‘Mothering Sunday’ and the idea was that servants got a day off to visit their ‘mother church’ and, coincidentally, their own mothers.)

Dammit!

Well, at least I have a MIL who understands that the holidays are different here. Still, I feel bad.

And thank you so much for replying, Cat.

Any time. And here’s a useful site for such occasions, you will be forgiven anything

(They only deliver to the UK but I’m pretty sure I’ve used my ‘foreign’ bank card to pay - apologies if I’m wrong.)
