When Margaret Thatcher dies, will you...

Cue the “I had no idea THAT was the original rhyme!” trope in 3…2…1…

True enough - I guess I was more surprised at the blatant “nigger” reference than the racism itself. They’re usually a lot more circumspect.

Pull the other one - it’s got bells on it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, “niggardly” joke.

Maybe he thinks of Obama as a tiger?

Rune is Faroese/Danish. While he is “special” (my husband says he has only met one Faroese that isn’t “special”) he may be ignorant of the more offensive version.

ETA: Here’s to hoping.

It seems oddly specific to have just been a horribly-timed coincidence that he references three people (and names two of them), but only the black one is placed directly in the ‘n-word’ position in the rhyme. Rune may be Faroese but his command of written English is as good, if not better than, a native speaker’s, from what I’ve read of his posts. I’ll throw in a smidgen of benefit of the doubt, but only that.

Bullshit. Aside from “cleverly” calling Obama a nigger, there was no reason or context for “eeny eeny miney moe” in that post.

One of my grandmothers suffers from this very same thing, it isn’t as emotionally tragic as it sounds (when compared to the overall Alzheimer’s tragicness). Every day she’ll make a reference to her (deceased) husband and ask some question about him–“Can you call David”, “Where is David, I need to tell him” etc.

A simple “He died grandma, remember? It was 20 years ago” is all that’s needed.

She replies with a simple “Oh. How about that?” and moves on to some other topic about some other memory. Along with the missing memories of her husband’s death, any grief or associated emotions are no longer significantly present.

Electing a black guy was the best thing libtards ever did. It has become so easy to get your knickers in a twist. Not that it was ever particular difficult. When you elect a vagina in chief I expect we shall have much joy from being misogynist this and misogynist that. I actually though the anti-British racism was much worse. But then they really are a race of degenerates. That’s a commonly accepted fact. Especially English women are particular nasty I have been informed just today by an Italian man at dinner. They “don’t wash their genitalia” is the first result from Google on “English women.” The rest of the top ten aren’t much better. And if it’s on Google then it must be true. But most of all I find it amusing how libtards have strict rules on who you can insult and which insults are kosher, and which people and insults are totally taboo. For instance declaring that one previous PM is an evil witch whose hopefully imminent death shall be celebrated with joy is all good, whereas making mild fun of the colour of the skin of another guy is bad bad bad. Personally I find the first much more offensive.

All Faroese are special. A race of more obnoxious stubborn knuckleheaded inbreeds it would be an unfortunate wonder to discover. It’s a requisite for being there. All the sensible people have left many generations ago. In fact they never went there in the first place. But the Icelanders are worse.

Huh, just over half the expenditure on healthcare with the same lifespan outcomes and fewer infant mortalities.

Presumably Rune is annoyed that not enough Danish babies are dying?

Ahhh, the classic Scandinavian monster has admitted itself.

But you have to admit that when you roll them between your palms and their hair gets all wild and crazy, they’re kind of cute.

That former PM being the degenerate “vagina in chief” who never washed her genitalia, I presume.

I do so love people who think being offensive is somehow clever, as if the verbal equivalent of farting in an elevator was a sign of wit.

Yeah. For what it’s worth, it’s not ok to call anyone a nigger, regardless of who’s in the White House.

What the fuck would an inbred island racist bigot know about Britain, except about claiming subsidies from his own parent state because they are too stupid and lazy to move to a place where they can make a living and support themselves.

Wonder what Thatcher would have done about their state sapping grants?

Insuring 32 million additional people is certainly not a scam. I stand corrected though: health care will not be universal, as the ACA does not cover undocumented immigrants. With only a modest reduction in ESI, and an enormous expansion of public and subsidized private insurance, CBO (2010b) projects that 32 million uninsured will gain coverage by 2019, relative to a pre-law baseline estimate of 55 million uninsured. This estimate of a 58 percent reduction in the uninsured is somewhat lower than the reducti on in Massachusetts, but this is partly because the ACA does not provide subsidies or public insurance to undocumented immigrants, who make up almost one-quarter of the uninsured nationally but much less than that in Massachusetts. From “The Impacts of the Affordable Care Act: How Reasonable Are the Projections?” by Jonathan Gruber, NBER Working Paper No. 17168, June 2011

I knew next to nothing about Thatcher before this thread, and I see it in that picture, too. Granted, I think she’s probably too senile to actually be angry about what she used to be angry about, or and she may even have just been caught at a bad time, but it is a haughty, hateful look.

Oh for fuck’s sake. She’s old, she’s senile and there ain’t no point in maligning Maggie anymore.

You can chuck hate on the person she WAS, but while the lights are on, there’s nobody home now.

I’ve hated Margaret Thatcher since I first became politically aware, but Alzeimers is a fucking cunt of a disease, and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, even her. It’s the cruelest way to go, all sense of person and any vestige of dignity is lost.

I hated Thatcher the PM, I hate every thing she stood for, but I feel desperately sorry that it has all come to this.

Yes, Alzheimers is a terrible thing. However Thatcher is still a rich woman and I’m sure that her family (daughter Carol at least) ensures she has the best of care. Meanwhile two specialist care homes for dementia sufferers in my area are threatened with closure. I reserve my sympathy for those ordinary people suffering under a regime of cuts to public services much like the one she presided over, driven by the same ideology.
