1)I am not taking sides - it is not subjective. The spot is taken or it is not taken. That is why I said IF

2)I said CERTAIN VIOLATIONS even stealing a spot is not one that we call for jail time.

3)Kicking my ass (if you think you might have a chance) is a violation - looking at you while making a funny face is not.

4)I am not rationalizing anything.

I think InTheField may well be on to something, when I am a 70+ year old Gorilla-Gramps I’ll make sure all the young’ns know about how I liked to rip doors off passing vehicles that didn’t stop at the pedestrian crossing when I was trying to cross.

I don’t park up front, unless a place is empty. I’d much rather walk (like everyone else I could use the exercise) from a space I could a. drive through instead of backing in/out of b. can see from without my sight being blocked by SUVs/trucks as I leave. That leaves all the crazy people the spaces up front that I dislike It drives me insane that my parents will take 5-10 minutes to park in order to be spared walking another 300 yards… I guess I didn’t inherit the must-park-as-close-as-possible gene.
