I remember a hacking type incident that screwed things up pretty badly. Someone (username rhymes with “moat silly”) discovered how to spoof other posters’ user IDs. This may or may not be the same incident referenced in this thread. There was actually lots of drama way back then, on a variety of fronts.

That was one of a great many names that individual used. You’re probably only remembering that one because he confessed with that one, and said that he was sure that everyone was shocked that such a prominent, upstanding member of the community would be behind the sock epidemic. To which everyone immediately replied “Who the heck are you?”.

But I don’t think he had any connection to the WoMC. I’m pretty sure that was a different loser.
