I was reading about a comedian who just married his long time partner (20 years) in what sounded like a simple ceremony. It got me to wonder when & who might we see getting married in a big Hollywood style wedding, kind of like Kim Kardashian or Madonna’s wedding to Sean Penn.
Any guesses?
Are you asking when we will see a big, fabulous, foofy “Princess” style wedding between one or two gay celebrities?
For better or worse I don’t think most gay women would be into a princess style wedding all that much. Re gay men despite social progress with gay rights etc. I think that kind of wedding between two men would lead to a lot of mocking. Not for a while I suspect unless it’s a comic or avant garde performer.
It wasn’t a Hollywood wedding, but the recent wedding between Bill White (former president of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum) and Bryan Eure (a commercial real estate insurer) in New York was pretty big. Aretha Franklin sang, and the 670 attendees included current and former elected officials, Clive Davis, Barbara Walters and so forth.
