Hmmm…it was under Reagan’s tenure as gov. of CA. Why am I not surprised…
IMO I consider my civil rights as vital to my existance as my arm or my leg. They are part of my self as a whole, and if to protect my self the government asks me to give up some of my self (whether that be my freedom, my arm, or whatever) then the government better darn-well be in a dire position (ala war). Whether this ‘war on terror’ classifies, and as a corrolary whether foreign visitors are given the same rights/privelidges as a US citizen are the issues at hand. On the other hand if the situation does not classify as ‘dire’ enough than the government has violated its end of the social contract and we need to boot whoevers in charge.
Personally Im worried, vote anarchy!
