When will my flight fare go up?

I want to fly internationally on December 28 on American Airlines… But I want to wait until November 28 (two days from now) to buy the ticket, so that it goes on the following month’s credit card statement. Will the price likely hold until that day, or will it go up on midnight of that day.

(I’ve usually booked flights much more in advance, so I’m not familiar with exactly how it works. Thanks!)

American may allow you to hold a reservation/fare for 24 hours for free before you pay for it depending on the market. Check the itinerary to see if they allow that option.

You will find a PDF document on the site.

Expedia can track tickets and will predict whether the price will go up or down on a given route…not sure how useful their “AI” is on this.

Also Expedia will allow you to cancel or change tickets at not cost within 24 hours of booking; I don’t know if this applies to international though

I used the 24-hour hold option. Thanks!
