Mods…may we please get these bold predictions stickied so that when these events happen we may give Der Trihs his props?
Well, apparently Bill Clinton’s injections of Bill’s Presidential semen did nothing to get Hillary Clinto to listen to him about doing some actual stumping in the Rust Belt so she would win those states…
So I kind of doubt said injections would give her serious insight into actually being president (given they were not enough for her to even win the position in the first place).
I was disappointed when I heard she said this, because it seems like she doesn’t recognize her own role in her loss.

This is the level of discourse now, huh? Wow.
Bill’s “injections” didn’t give her the experience one should have to run for the highest office n the land. No one here made that claim.
A lifetime of public service, experience in the Senate, and experience on the world stage as Sec of State did.

And yet she STILL lost to an orange buffoon.
But seriously, when you send out a resume’ do you list who you are married to and what THEY DO?

When her bid for the Presidency in 2016 is in full swing.
Remember, she only lost because of Putin and Comey.
How’s that reset working out for you, Hill?

And yet she STILL lost to an orange buffoon.

Yes, she lost the electoral college, and therefore the election to Trump. And yes, I do think there is evidence that the Russian cybersecurity effort to influence the election played a role. I also think there is evidence that Comey’s announcements and their timing were a factor.
At the same time, I also agree that miscalculations by both her and her staff cost her. Would they have cost her the election if there had not been hacks? Unfortunately, we will never know. We should all agree that that is unfortunate.
Yes, more than one factor can be true and a significant influence at the same time. The world is not black and white. We will never, again IMHO, know whether the mistakes she made cost her the election, or did they just leave the door open enough for the hacks/e-mails/Comey factors to put enough of a finger on the scale.
As for her listing her husband and his job on her resume, is there a PDF of her resume somewhere? Because if you are just referencing her using Bill in her campaign, that’s just ridiculous. Of course she would use him in her campaign. He is a popular ex-President.

That’s the funniest thing I’ve read all week. Ted Cruz is a regular hero in these parts! Marco Rubio? Beloved above all others by posters here.
Well, okay, less.
(Cruz would have me just about as frightened as I am of Trump. Rubio seemed relatively benign. I’d certainly be whining much less were he the P.E.)

Bolding mine.
Wow. What a phenomenally shitty thing to say.

Maybe you should spend ten seconds looking into Mrs. Clinton’s resume while first lady, and what influence she actually had on policy while she was there. It might surprise you.
Trump will implode in office. 2 yrs. We will limp to the end of his term with Pence. So 2-4 yrs.

Bolding mine.
Wow. What a phenomenally shitty thing to say.
And… in the Pit, no less!!!

Well, okay, less.

I also detest Cruz (as do virtually ALL of his colleagues in Congress), but he probably wouldn’t be packing the cabinet with billionaires intent on dismantling the government for their own financial benefit. He wouldn’t be tweeting in the middle of the night. He doesn’t have a tangled web of conflicting business interests. He didn’t make a career out of grabbing women’s pussies. In short, he is a despicable human being, but in a normal way. Actually, Trump is not a despicable human being; he’s just a narcissistic loose cannon.

And… in the Pit, no less!!!
… Huh?

How so?

Can we include the failed “HillaryCare”?

How so?

… Huh?
Oh, IMHO. Hard to tell what is and isn’t the Pit these days…

And here we have Donald Trump’s America on full display.
This is the beating misogynist heart of the the conservative movement.
Please. There’s nothing in billfish’s post that is remotely misogynistic…unless of course you can point me to a legitimate definition of the word that says it applies to any negative comment about any woman anywhere at any time for any reason.
Because, you know, that’s how the beating heart of liberalism invariably (and wrongly) defines it.
I think OP pursues the wrong question. The man with the moustache came to power in Germany in January 1933 and people are still complaining about that! There are parallels: his party won only 38% of the popular vote for Reichstag, and Mr. Moustache lost, again with 38% of the popular vote, the 1932 election for German President.
I will be scolded for comparing the man with golden hair to the man with the moustache but I, and I think many others, fear that this election may prove calamitous. Can anyone name any another election (besides that of the moustached man himself) likely to have such dire consequences?
History repeats, first as tragedy then as farce. But this farce of a President is likely to lead to tragedy.
It’s hard not to weep or whine over this tragedy. Obviously there have been many very bad leaders before, but Vlad Dracula the Impaler ruled only a small country; Ivan the Terrible may have ruined a large country but global society was much less fragile then. It seems that many Americans pulled a lever with thoughtless whimsy not understanding the stakes. Many of us fear disasters that will dwarf any mistakes of Bush the Bungler.
That Democrats may have hastened their own defeat with stupidity just increases the grief. My laptop is infested with more viruses than a Tenderloin hooker, but even I wouldn’t click a link like that … and certainly wouldn’t type in an important password if I did. I wonder if the “illegitimate email” turned into “a legitimate email” because the sender was letting voice-recognition software compose his email? That would be farce on top of farce.
