…it’s probably not a good idea to give the potential* scamee* your business card with your real name and phone number. :smack:
My job involves telefundraising where we garnish hundreds of credit-card details over the phone each day. A couple of days ago, a skeevy character out on the street approached one of the workers with a ‘deal’: sell him the c/c numbers for a generous remuneration!
My coworker played dumb but interested, so Mr Scammer, feeling he had a live one, handed over his business card, which my coworker promptly handed over to our office manager and she promptly handed over to the local constabulary.
And within the space of three hours, our completely stupid potential crim got busted.
I really wonder sometimes how people like this remember to breathe.
