Well, there were a lot of little hints from the very beginning…Not to get corny, but if you believe in having missing pieces in yourself that only other people can fill like I do, then he was the biggest piece. Being able to finish each other’s sentences and read each other’s minds in the first five minutes of talking was quite impressive to me, but I think the minute I knew he was the one for me was our first date. We had picked just about the most boring activity ever–going to the nearest shopping mall and walking around absolutely aimlessly for hours, just talking like we had known each other for 8 bazillion years. When we left, we got stuck in rush hour traffic for two hours, and it wasn’t awkward AT ALL…we never stopped talking or laughing, and he reached across and held my hand the entire time. When he dropped me off at my house, I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek (you know, to play it safe) and started to get out of the car. That’s when he grabbed my wrist, tugged me back into the car, and kissed me on the lips…and I knew I would be in love with him forever. So that’s the test people! Can you sit with your boyfriend in rush hour traffic for hours without wanting to throw yourself under a slow-moving 18-wheeler? If you can…prepare yourself to be in it for the long haul
