When you were a kid , what was your dream job?

I had about 4

A wrestler
A shopkeeper
A footballer
A it guy

A pilot.

When I was 8-13? Truck driver.

After that? Fighter pilot.

College professor since I was in 2nd grade. Really. Somehow the idea just enamored me and stuck.

I dreamed I was a Viking.

My dream job changed all the time. I wanted to be:
a truck driver
railroad engineer
Disc jockey
lawyer
fireman
fighter pilot

I ended up being an engineer. Just not THAT kind. The other kind.

At various points during childhood, I wanted to be an astronaut, a paleontologist, a comic book artist / writer, or an academic professor of some sort.

Explorer/adventurer

Born in 1964
Astronaut
Army man
Electrical engineer
Finally settled on Computer Scientist.

I wanted to be the guy who sat in the drawbridge tower all day and waited for boats to come by. It still sounds pretty nice.

A veterinarian, and a rescuer who went around saving people in danger, like a superhero but with normal clothes.

Ace Frehley.

Until the age of about 5-6, a rabbi. Then, after learning what an architect was, that’s all I wanted to be.

Playing 1st base for the LA Dodgers.

I’m still waiting for them to call me.

Dream job from age 7 through today = Musical theater star.

Until I was about 8, I thought the greatest job in the world would be to operate one of those enormous constructions cranes that towered high over the city.

Baseball player
Cowboy
Fireman
Spaceman (not astronaut so much, but the sci-fi kind)

Fighter pilot, airline pilot.

Still want to be an airline pilot.

Me?
It was a space man

My son?
Tells me ‘ice cream truck guy’

My parents tell me that, when I was 3 or 4, I told them that I wanted to be a used-car salesman.

When I got to be a couple of years older, I wanted to be a TV weatherman. Or a puppeteer.

Insanely wealthy philanthropist. I nailed the first part.
