I have been introduced to the wonderful pain that is costochronditis–an inflammation of the cartilage between my ribs and my breastbone.
Frankly, I’ve had more fun at the dentist. When the anaesthetic didn’t work. Ow.

My sympathies. I had this when I was 19. I seem to be one of those people who goes through cold and flu season unscathed, but then comes down with something no one has ever heard of. It started in my chest, and I was prompted to rush to the hospital when I thought I was having a heart attack. The doctor quickly diagnosed me and prescribed anti inflammatories, but it still spread throughout my body, spending about two days in each major joint group. First my elbows and wrists, then my knees, then my hips. . . etc. It was great fun.
I don’t know anything about it, but that sounds just awful. I hope it goes away soon.
Wow, Mastema, you sure give me something to look forward to!
