Where are The Rules posted?

Okay, I went looking for the rules to point someone to them, and couldn’t find them. The FAQ file above is the generic board file, no list of rules like “Don’t be a jerk” and “Do Not Feed The Trolls” and “Only flame in The BBQ Pit”. So where are the rules listed?

Thanks.

Try here.

Pretty obvious huh?

I run a vBulletin-based bulletin board too, and you can normally view the board rules only when you’re registering a username. It’s not the fault odf the Straihgt Dope that the rules are hard to find – it’s just the software design.

I’ll find out if there’s a vBulletin hack that will permit a direct link to the board rules.

Thanks pcubed.

elmwood, you are correct. I even tried hitting the “registration” button but because I’m logged on it only pulled up a window telling me I’m already logged on.

Seriously, can you find a way to make the rules more accessible? Not that I want every poster to run around playing junior moderator (“Hey, here are the rules, bucko, now shape up!”), but it would be nice to be able to actually see them once in a while.

Thanks.

Thanks for the link to that post. I always feel sort of furtive and guilty logging out and clicking on the “register” icon. I’m not trying to make a sock puppet, I swear! I never even click “agree”[sup]1[/sup], let alone fill in any of the blanks! I was just looking at the Rules, that’s all, honest.

[sup]1[/sup]Not that I don’t agree[sup]2[/sup], it’s just that I already did agree.

[sup]2[/sup]Well, except maybe for the part about “profane” and “vulgar”.
