On the above answers, 2 of the 5 Gogo’s are hot. Belinda Carlyle and the brunette pixie who writes the songs. Melissa Ethridge I find attractive in a girl-next-door kind of way. Plus she rocks (or rocked). Lisa Loeb is chic plain. She’s cute but is going for a dorky look.
I think of the Heart girls as a good contrast of attractive women. The guitar player has aged, but still looks tough and sexy. The singer, originally kind of hot, is now really large.
Patty Smith is no looker, but she has a stage presence. Janis Joplin was like that, she shined on stage.

I dunno…a number of folks are dumping on '60s-era rock goddesses without remembering that that long straight ironed hair, no-makeup, braless and fairly dumpy look was considered quite the thing in those days.
Chief, Donna Jean Godchaux (for all the “Scarlet Begonias” she spoiled with her caterwauling) wasn’t that bad lookin’…remember what KEITH looked like, for god’s sake.
And yeah, Janis was no raving beauty, but I’ll bet she moved like a greased mink in the sack.
It used to be that female vocalists didn’t have to be pretty as long as they could sing. But these days, you could never have somebody like Ella Fitzgerald rise to stardom, or Bessie Smith, or Ma Rainey.
Don’t dump on the Bangles! Susanna Hoffs had enough beauty for all of them! Those eyes . . . I just melt.

God, that woman took quite a fall from the ugly tree. Must of hit every branch on the way down. I swear, Her parents must be cousins or something. The only thing that makes her look pretty is the make up artist. I swear, My worst nightmare is waking up next to her with runny mascara and cracked flakey foundation like the lizard woman from V, and her saying, “Opps, get a towel, I did it again”.
Hell, the amount of women I know that are so much prettier than her, and are way more talented than her, that will never get a record contract because they don’t fit into societies image of “Pretty”.
