Where Are You, Little Star?

Just to clarify the theory I have developed by reading descriptions of each board’s purpose:

General Questions: Is it legal to turn right on red after stop in Maine?

Great Debates: Shouldn’t it be legal to turn right on red everywhere?

BBQ Pit That f**king cop arrested me after I turned right on red!

MPSIMS I used to run red lights every day, until I saw this film that had a bad accident in it, and I’ve never run a red light since.

Comments on Cecl’s columns I think Cecil missed the boat when he said red lights have existed since the turn of the century, since, technically, we’re already past another turn of the century, so he should have specificed which one.

About This Message Board Where do I post my red light question?

Have I figured out the general philosophy behind each area, and if I have, why do General Questions threads tend to continue after there is no longer a genuine question to ask?

I’m guessing you mean why do the responses continue after the question has been anwered.

I think it’s because people run red lights.

You forgot Comments on Mailbag Answers:
“JillGat was WRONG in stating that the lights are “red.” Red lights are not really red, the wavelength is closer to 400 angstrom units and hence closer to green than yellow and can be run with alacrity. Sloppy work, Jill.”

You also left out the link for Comments on Cecil’s Columns: The quick and the dead: stoplight timing explained.

Just bumping to the top in case someone missed it.
