I don’t have any piercings of my own (nor do I plan to get any,) I jsut wanted to pop in and say that a woman with a tongue ring and navel ring = HOT!!!
I never realized I liked tongue rings until I kissed a girl who had one…and I didn’t know she had one until I kissed her, THAT was a bit of a suprise at first. And navel rings? Just plain sexy. I love navels and midrifs, and that just makes 'em better.
I am not a fan of nipple piercings, though. I like my breasts (well, not mine, my parters) au naturale.
I have only one piercing, my left ear. My right ear was also pierced, but I haven’t worn anything in it for a couple of years, so it’s proabably grown in.
What’s a ‘labret’? A lip (mouth, that is) piercing?
I find tongue piercings incredibly sexy. I’ve never actually gone out with a woman who had one, but there is this one very conservatively-dressed woman at my work whom I’d been interested in at one point, and one day I noticed that she had a tongue piercing, and the contrast between the two images of conservatism and inner wild side was a great turn-on.
For you guys with questions about what exactly these piercings people are mentioning are, I highly suggest the BMEzine glossary (WARNING: pictures in some of the links may be graphic. Nothing on the linked page, but on some of the glossary terms).
A “conch” is a piercing that goes through the inner “shell” of the ear. Search for “conch” in my link for a picture. That little protruding tab of cartilage you mentioned, Narrad, is the “tragus” which you can also search for and see pictures of at the link above. Sunspace, a “labret” is a piercing through the lower lip.
2 2 gauge lobes, 2 10 gauge holes right above that and 2 14 gauge holes on the right side, right above the others. Also, an industrial on the right side. My ears are lopsided.
My right nostril is pierced twice, and I’ve got a labret.
I used to have my nipples done, but took those out. I had my tongue done too, on a whim, and never liked it. I did my navel myself, when I was 14 or so, and it came about thisclose to being completely rpped out, plus it never healed, so I took it out and have a big scar.
Yikes… after reading of a lot of people having problems with eyebrow rings migrating out, I’m worried now. How will I know if mine is migrating out before it’s too late?
Right now, 8, all from the neck up. Left ear x4, right ear x2, left nostril, and tongue. My tongue is the newest one that I’ve kept, and I did that about 4 years ago.

Probably my nipples, as work precludes any of the more exotic facial styles.
My belly button is a mess due to some scarring from major bowel surgery, so I’m just not sure I have the guts to get a Prince Albert.
The actual piercing part didn’t hurt much, but it took a full six months for my cartilege piercing to heal properly. And stupid me, I got it on the side of my head I usually sleep on…I’ve thought about getting the other side done, but I don’t want to deal with the healing process again. Though if I were to do it, I’d go to a proper piercing place instead of the mall.
I had my FIRST ear piercing when I was in the 5th grade.
I pierced a SECOND set myself when I was in the 12th grade. My ears got terribly infected and I had to let the holes close and have them done by a professional.
I got my belly pierced with my 20 year old daughter present. She thought I was so hip! This too got infected (I developed a keyloid) and had to remove the jewlery but the hole is still there. I might try a new ring in it this weekend.
I currently have twelve piercings. Seven are in my left ear, and five in my right. My most recent piercing was…oh, I think around six years ago. I have lovely gemstone studs in each pierce; even my Dad (Mr. Conservative) thinks they look nice.
